About Me




My name is Katie and I am a wife, mom and full-time French teacher. I decided to give the "primal" lifestyle a try to shed some baby weight, but also because my daughter will be eating solids soon. I want to give her the gift of a good eating foundation that will foster a life-long, healthy relationship with food. This is something I never had and I regret that it took 30 years to discover. 

Through this journey I have learned more about my body and what I put into it than I ever dreamed. Less than a month in, I was hooked -- my energy level was high, my skin was clear, and the weight was falling off! The best part? I had not worked out. Once. By eating all natural foods that my body is SUPPOSED to have, it did the work for me. Now, with a balanced diet and exercise plan I feel better than I ever have.

This blog is not designed to convert you to a primal lifestyle...you have to make that decision on your own. However, if this is a journey you wish to embark upon (or have already), I have created a place for fun and affordable recipes, delicious food, and first-hand advice about living a primal life in the modern world!
